Dale Lynn Crump, husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend, passed away at his home in Rapid City, South Dakota on Sunday, January 21, 2018. He was 60 years old.
Dale was born in Redfield, South Dakota on June 20, 1957 to Elijah and Gladys Crump. He grew up on the family farm west of Redfield which to this day was one of his very cherished places. As a young child, he spent a lot of his time working on the farm with his father, and after his father passed away, Dale continued to work on the farm with his brother in-law, Elmer Dobson. He had a great love for the outdoors and spent all his free time hunting, fishing, and trapping.

Dale graduated from Redfield High School, he then went on to graduate from the Mitchell Technical Institute in Mitchell, South Dakota with a degree in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC). He was first employed by Cenex in Huron, South Dakota, following which, he started his own company, Dale’s Heating & Cooling. He also was the promoter of Dale’s Racing Promotions at the South Dakota State Fair Speedway for four years.
When Dale moved to Huron, he met the love of his life, Kim Galliger. They were married May 9th, 1981. Their first daughter, Danielle Renea, was born on October 4, 1985 and their second daughter, Brittany May, was born on November 4, 1988.

Following many years in Huron, Dale moved his family to Rapid City where he was employed by Action Mechanical followed by Pennington County. Dale loved living in the beautiful Black Hills where he spent his time hunting, fishing, rock collecting, and simply enjoying the outdoors with his family. Dale will be remembered by all that knew him as the nicest, sweetest, most generous person. He would do anything for anyone. His kindness, love, laughter, and stories will be so very missed.

Dale is survived by his wife, Kim Crump of Belle Fourche, South Dakota; daughters Danielle Crump (Dustin) of Rapid City, Brittany Trandahl (Nicholas) of Upton, Wyoming; brother Tommy Crump of Huron; father and mother in-law Camden and Melba Galliger of Huron; brother and sister in-law, Craig and Julie Olivier of Huron; nieces Renea VanBockel (Robyn) of Redfield, Cammy Olivier, Chelsey Steinarsson (Gunsteinn), and Jenna Olivier, all of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; grandson Skylar Muhm of Rapid City, and granddaughters, Lily, Holly, and Story Trandahl of Upton. He is preceded in death by his parents, nephew Randy Dobson, brother in-law Elmer, and sister Reita Dobson.
