RAPID CITY, S.D. - The driver of a pickup died from injuries sustained in a crash Saturday evening on Deadwood Avenue in Rapid City.

At around 5:25 p.m. on November 11th, police were dispatched to the area of Deadwood Avenue and Plant Street for a report of a two-vehicle crash that had just occurred. On arrival, police located the crash involving two pickup trucks, a 1983 Chevrolet Pickup and a 2005 GMC Sierra. After speaking with witnesses, it was determined the Chevy pickup was southbound on Deadwood Avenue when it crossed over the centerline into the northbound lane. At that point, it struck the GMC Sierra head-on.

Police identified the driver of the Chevy Pickup was 24-year-old Spencer Briscoe of Rapid City. Briscoe was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Two people in the second pickup were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Their names and current conditions were not released.
