Two suspects steal pistols from Rapid City pawn shop

RAPID CITY, S.D. -Rapid City Police are searching for two suspects who broke into a pawn shop on East North Street over the weekend.

In a release, police say the two suspects, who were captured on surveillance video, broke into the shop in the 400 block of East North Street by breaking through the glass front door.

The video shows one suspect armed with a bat and using it to break a glass counter inside the shop and taking at least two pistols.

One suspect was wearing a dark flannel jacket, black pants and a dark colored hat. The other suspect was wearing a white sweatshirt, tan pants and a black backpack.

The police are working with the shop’s management to get an inventory of all the items taken.
