BHVA-Town Hall Meetings
Veteran Town Hall set for Black Hills area veterans
News Staff - December 5, 2017

STURGIS, S.D. - The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Black Hills Health Care System (BHHCS) will host a Veteran Town Hall Meeting on December 12, 2017 at VFW Post 1681, 2701 North 10th St. in Gering beginning at 6:00 p.m. Veterans, family members, survivors, and the public are invited to attend.

The meetings are intended to provide an open forum for VA leaders to hear directly from beneficiaries. This Town Hall is part of an ongoing effort to regularly meet with Veterans across the health care system.

“All Veterans and their families are encouraged to come out and bring questions or concerns about VA health care,” said Sandra Horsman, VA BHHCS Director.  “Town Halls are a great way to learn about what is working well and ways we can improve our services.”  Staff will be available to respond to a range of questions including the Veterans Choice Program and local clinic services.

Before the Town Hall there will be an opportunity for Veterans to meet one-on-one with VA staff to answer questions about their health care benefits and services and eligibility.  Veterans can stop by any time between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.  The Town Hall will begin at 6:00 p.m.
