STURGIS, S.D. – Sturgis and area fire crews responded to a home fire on Alkali Road early Monday morning.
Sturgis fire officials say the home at 13767 Alkali Road was fully engulfed when fire crews arrived.
Officials say no occupants were home at the time of the fire, and no injuries to people or pets had been reported.
Fire crews remained on scene most of the morning, and were released from the home around noon.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
Fire agencies responding included Sturgis, Fort Meade, Vale and Whitewood. The Meade County Sheriff’s Office was also on scene.
