RAPID CITY, S.D. - Dru Gylten of St Thomas More was named to the South Dakota Class A All State Girls Basketball First Team this week.
The Cavalier wrapped up a stellar career with St Thomas More with a State Championship.
However, Gylten severely injured her knee, and will undergo surgery before playing for the University of Utah next season.
Gylten tore her anterior cruciate ligament during this year's state tournament. Gylten suffered her injury in the second game of the tournament against Webster Area.
Gylten will have her surgery done in Salt Lake City by University of Utah team doctors.
It's believed Gylten will "red-shirt" with the Utes next season so she can fully recover.
