Drug Death-Investigation
Authorities blame meth overdose for death of woman
Gary Matthews - April 19, 2017

RAPID  CITY, S.D. - Authorities in Rapid City say toxicology tests indicate a meth overdose is responsible for the death of a Rapid Valley woman.

The body of 43-year-old Tamra Jo Ness was found February 9 at a residence in the 5500 block of Greenwood Lane.

At the time, investigators labeled her death as suspicious in nature, and believed illegal drugs were a factor.

Police arrested 43-year-old Michaelle Stout following the discovery of Ness' body. He was arrested on a drug charge, and so far, has not been charged in her death.

In a release, investigators say they are still determining if Ness' death was accidental or if someone may have played a role.
