|Scoopers sit in second place at Floyd Farrand Invite

UNDATED - The Sturgis Scooper wrestling team begins Friday in second place at the annual Floyd Farrand Invitational.
The Scoopers are behind Watertown, who is in first place with 98 points. The Scoopers are second with 94 and Vermillion is third with 84.5 points.
Sturgis had six wrestlers advance to the championship bracket.
Jacob Wood won at 106 pounds, Jeremiah Palmer won at 138, Baley Brengle won at 145, Jaren Puhlman won at 152, Winston Brown advanced at 160 and Joel Carpenter picked up a fall win at 220 pounds.
Elsewhere, Shakopee, Minnesota sits in first place at the annual Rumble on the Red Tournament in Fargo.
Rapid City Stevens is in 35th and Spearfish is at 54th place in the team standings.
Individually, Tyler Waterson of Spearfish remains in the championship bracket at 138 pounds and Rapid City Stevens' Dante Colicheski also advanced.
