Sports Staff - June 6, 2017

SPEARFISH, S.D. – Black Hills State University Director of Athletics Jhett Albers has announced that head women's soccer coach Rob Blake has resigned his position citing to be closer to his family. Blake was the first-ever head coach for the Yellow Jacket women's soccer team.

"We appreciate Coach Blake's efforts to get the BHSU women's soccer program started and wish him best in his future endeavors," Albers said.

Blake, hired in September of 2015, built the soccer program from the ground up and helped the Yellow Jackets to their first victory 2-0 over Dakota Wesleyan on September 7 of the inaugural 2016 season. He also coached a pair of Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Honorable Mention accolades in Rose Miller and Katie Nielson.
