Scooper boys and girls rout Custer

STURGIS, S.D. - The Sturgis Scooper boys basketball team were hot from the field, draining 17 3-pointers en-route to a 77-42 drubbing of Custer Saturday.

Dawson Gueke led the way in three-pointers for the Scoopers, scoring 21 points. Connor Crane also scored 21 in the win.

The Scooper girls also rebound from a Friday loss to Douglas, beating Custer 55-51. Sturgis was led by Brook Janz with 20 and Loralee Stock added 19.

Tori Glazier of Custer became the all time leading scorer in Custer girls basketball history, scoring 17 points. Starting the day, she needed only one to tie and two to break the record. The achievement happened in the first quarter.
