|SDSU Men defeat IUPUI, SDSU women over Denver

BROOKINGS, S.D. - A jumper with 1.8 seconds to play in overtime sunk South Dakota State men's basketball at IUPUI on Wednesday evening as the Jackrabbits fell, 85-83, at Indiana Farmer's Coliseum.
Michael Orris led the way for the Jacks with a career-high 20 points while A.J. Hess (14 points) and Ian Theisen (ty-son) (11 points) reached double figures as well. Mike Daum led the team with nine rebounds while just missing double digits, finishing with nine points.
After scoring just four points in regulation, Daum scored SDSU's first five points of overtime, but saw IUPUI match the Jackrabbit effort to leave the game tied, 83-83, with 1:25 to go.
As the clock wound down, Combs hit a jumper near the top of the key with a hand in his face, sealing the Jaguars' win with 1.5 seconds to go. SDSU was unable to get off a final shot.
Sophomore Madison Guebert scored a career-high 32 points to lead the South Dakota State women's basketball team to a 72-63 win at Denver Wednesday night in Magness Arena.
Guebert's 32 points were the 16th-most points in school history. She was 11 of 12 from the field, 4 of 5 from 3-point range and 6 of 7 from the free-throw line. Guebert also had a personal-best five assists.
Junior Ellie Thompson recorded her second 20-plus point game of the season with 22 points. She added eight rebounds and a pair of blocks. Senior Kerri Young had eight points, eight rebounds and six assists for the Jackrabbits (15-4, 6-1).
