Wyoming Unemployment Rate
Wyoming jobless rate increases to 4.2 percent in October
The Associated Press - November 22, 2017

CHEYENNE, Wyo. - Wyoming's unemployment rate increased slightly in October to 4.2 percent.

The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services says the rate is up from September's 4 percent but lower the October 2016 level of 5 percent.

The national jobless rate for October was 4.1 percent.

From September to October, most county unemployment rates in Wyoming followed their normal seasonal pattern and increased. Job losses are typically seen in leisure and hospitality, construction, retail trade and other sectors.

In October, Niobrara County's unemployment rate of 2.4 percent was the lowest in the state, followed by Goshen at 2.6 percent, Albany at 2.7 percent and Crook at 2.9 percent.

The highest rates for the month were found in Natrona at 4.8 percent, Fremont at 4.7 percent, and Campbell and Sweetwater counties at 4.2 percent.
