RAPID CITY, SD – His is a name so well known that it’s hard to find anyone who hasn’t watched or learned a thing or two from Daune Reichert. The New Underwood rancher is has been a card carrying member of the PRCA since 1968 and mastered the skill and art of a rodeo clown at a young age.
The barrelman has spent plenty of time at the front of a charging bull. But now he spends more of his time at the head of the class with his popular Back Stage With A Rodeo Clown program. He first began to develop a variety of presentations in the mid 1980’s.
The award winning entertainer will be in the Sutton Rodeo Zone, Friday and Saturday, January 27-28, 2017 conducting two performances at 11:00am and 1:00pm on the stage, geared to young and old alike. The entertainment packed 20 minute shows are free to the public.
Reichert’s skills in presenting to the younger crowd are so good the South Dakota Arts Council has him on their touring artist’s roster and is also part of the arts council’s Artists in Schools program.
The retired rodeo clown keeps a busy schedule of appearances throughout the year. To find out more, see Duane on Facebook and at artscouncil.sd.gov
