Elaine was born on March 3, 1961, in Deadwood, SD, to Floyd A. Cammack and Donna (Lee) Cammack.  She grew up on the family ranch near Stoneville, SD, with her four older brothers. She attended a two-room grade school in Stoneville through the 8th grade.  She then attended Sturgis Brown High School where she lived with her grandparents Cecil and Ella Cammack during the school year.  As a young woman she loved to ride her motorcycle and try to keep up with her older brothers.

She married the love of her life, Clair D.  Rowett, on June, 27, 1981.  Through this union they raised two wonderful children at their rural home east of Sturgis.  Early in her life she was diagnosed with MS, even through her struggles she never complained and always had a smile.  She was a woman of incredible faith and often sought comfort through God’s word.   She was a member of LifeSpring Wesleyan Church in Sturgis, SD.

Elaine never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone.   She always had a pan of brownies or a batch of cookies ready for visitors.

Elaine always had a smile and will be remembered for her great attitude. Elaine enjoyed many things but most of all she loved her grand children and loved being a grandmother.

Elaine Donna (Cammack) Rowett, 56, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday January 18, 2018, at her home east of Sturgis, South Dakota.
