Woman's Death-Trial Delayed
News Staff - February 17, 2017
RAPID CITY, S.D. - The man accused of killing a woman in a Rapid City motel room last November was back in court for a motions hearing Thursday.
Brian Duncan has pleaded not guilty to second degree murder. He faces up to life in prison if convicted.
His trial was previously set to begin on June 12th, but at Thursday's hearing, the prosecution requested the trail be pushed back because of a key witness not being able to testify at that time.
Although the defense wanted to keep the trial on schedule, Judge Matthews Brown granted the state's request.
Duncan's trial was rescheduled for early September.
