Long time Rapid City mattress store closing
KEVN-TV - November 29, 2016

RAPID CITY, S.D. - A longtime business man has helped the Black Hills rest for decades ... now, he's taking time to rest himself. Lynn Delameter is retiring after 45 years owning the Black Hills Total Sleep Center. The business was one of the original water bed dealers in Rapid City in the early 70's. It has since grown to include memory foam and Tempur-Pedic mattresses. Black Hills Sleep Center had locations in Rapid City, Sioux Falls, Gillette, and Sheridan. But for the past 15 years they operated just here off Jackson Boulevard. And the owner says it's time to move on. Lynn Delameter, the owner of Black Hills Sleep Center, said "I was visiting with my wife about it and she said why don't you retire, and I said 'oh my gosh, that's a good idea'. So it's been a great run and Rapid City has been fantastic to me and for me. So it's just time to move on." Black Hills Total Sleep Center will continue selling through the end of January - with closing sales up to 50 percent off across the floor.
