RAPID CITY, S.D. – A camper that caught fire on Highway 16 stopped traffic Sunday night as fire crews rushed to put it out.
The Battle Creek Fire Department says the incident happened at the Keystone Wye bridge when a camper being rented by a couple traveling through the Black Hills caught fire.
The Pennington County Sheriff’s Office were urging drivers to find an alternate route as fire crews put out the fire.
The Sheriff’s office says they set up the vacationing couple with a place to stay for the night.
