UNDATED – In Region Golf action Monday, St Thomas More captured the team title of the Region 4A Girls meet.
The Cavaliers finished with a low 402. Custer was distant second with 430 and Belle Fourche was third a 455.
Winning the individual title was Hayden Thorton of Rapid City Christian with an 85. Katilin Strain of St Thomas More was second one stroke back and Jaida Jacobs of Little Wound was third with a 90.
The top three teams and the top 19 golfers all qualify for the State A girls golf tournament June 3 and 4 in Sioux Falls.
At the Girls Region 6B Tournament, Jones County won the team title with a low 292. Philip was second with a 298.
Winning individual medalist honors was Kamri Kittelson of Jones County with an 85. Taylor O’Connell of Philip was second with an 88 and her teammate Addy Miller was third with a 97.
For REgion 6B boys, Hill City won the team title with a 263, followed by Wall and Philip tied for second with a 264.
Winning the individual title was Wyatt Larson of McIntosh with a 73. Philip’s Masique Carley was second with a 79.
