UNDATED – The South Dakota boys basketball season wrapped up Saturday with the conclusion of the State AA, A and B State Basketball Tournaments.
At the Class AA Tournament in Rapid City, Sioux Falls Roosevelt rolled over Sioux Falls O’Gorman 60-37 to win the championship. The Rough Riders were led by Tyler Feldcamp’s 20 points.
At the Class A tournament, Sioux Falls Christian are 2020-2021 champs as they defeated Sioux Valley 80-54.
And, at the Class B Tournament, it may have been a three-year process for the De Smet Bulldogs boys basketball team, but now, they can finally celebrate.
On Saturday night, De Smet defeated Aberdeen Christian 59-43 to win the ‘B’ state championship.
Also handed out Saturday night during the championship games was the Spirit of Su Award. At the State AA Tournament, Matthew Morrs of Yankton won the award. At the State A, it was Dillon Gestring of Vermillion. And, at the State B, Conor Libis of Dell Rapids St Mary won the coveted award.
The South Dakota Peace Officers Association did not award the Spirit of Six Award this year due to COVID-19 protocols.
