Sturgis Williams Middle Students ‘Paint the Plows’

STURGIS, S.D. – Around 60 members of the Sturgis Williams Middle School Student Council were at the City of Sturgis Public Works building to “Paint the Plows.”

The annual event brings the students together to showcase their work by decorating the City of Sturgis snowplows with festive designs.

The designs will be on display during next week’s homecoming parade in Sturgis.

This year, the Sturgis Scoopers’ homecoming theme is Hawaiian, so plow designs will match the theme.

Sturgis Williams Middle School Student Council Advisor Kristi Cammack says the students have a lot of fun displaying their artwork.

The Sturgis Scoopers’ Homecoming Parade will take place on Sept. 27.

The deisgns will remain on the plows through the winter as well.
