UNDATED – Unofficial results from area races for the 2024 Municipal Election.

DEADWOOD: Race for City Commission. Winning two open seats are Blake Joseph with 178 votes and Sharon Martinisko with 175. Todd Weber finished with 162 votes.
LEAD – In a race for Lead City Commission, incumbents Roger Thomas and Kayla Klein win the two open seats with 262 and 256 votes respectively. Challenger Virginia Grenz acquired 171 votes.
LEAD-DEADWOOD – In the Lead-Deadwood School Board race, Alexandra Lux with 555 votes and Jodi Campbell with 348 votes win two open seats for the 3-year term. Robin Lucero with 291 votes wins the one open seat for the one year term.
SUMMERSET – In Summerset, voters decided races for Mayor and City Commission. Winning the Mayoral race was Michael Kitzmiller with 234 votes over Dolan McComb with 129.
Winning the 3-year term for Commission was Michael J. Osten with 203 votes over Rachelle White with 165 votes. And, winning the 2-year term is Gwen Markham with 193 votes over Stephanie White with 163 votes.
BELLE FOURCHE – In Belle Fourche, Randy Schmidt won the mayoral race, scoring 709 votes with challenger Randy Sowers garnering 272.
In the Belle Fourche Ward 1 race for council, Rhonda Schild wins with 103 votes. Challenger Karen Davis received 46. In the Belle Fourche Ward 2 council race, Pam Somervold defeats Thomas Donovan. Somervold had 153 votes and Donovan received 104.
And, in the Belle Fourche School Board race, there were three open seats. The top three vote getters were Kelly Keegan with 722 votes, Tara Knapp with 673 votes and Meg Kokesh McNeese with 597 votes.
SPEARFISH – In the lone council race in Spearfish, challenger Jamie Hafner defeats incumbent Dan Hodgs 162 to 136.
In the Spearfish School Board race, Nathan Hoogshagen and Ellen Plocek win two open seats with 347 and 343 votes respectively.
WHITEWOOD – Winning the Whitewood City Council Ward 1 race was Sara Fitzgerald with 41 votes. Challenger Bruce Everett White received 28.
