STURGIS, S.D. – The 30th Annual Sturgis Festival of Trees takes place tonight at First Interstate Bank.
The social begins at 5:30 and the live auction begins at 6:30 p.m.
Brian Hencke is President of the Greater Sturgis Area Foundation and is helping to oversee the annual fundraising event which raises money for two local charities.
Last year, they raised an estimated $39,000.
Businesses and individuals decorate Christmas trees, wreaths and more in various themes and donate them to the annual auction. Attendees bring their appetites and their pocket books for a delicious spread of holiday fare and to bid on trees for the benefit of the community!
Admission into the annual event is $10, with that money going to benefit the Sturgis Kiwanis Food Pantry.
