Amanda was born April 7, 1981, in Sturgis, SD, to William Silvernagel and Roseann (Parsons) Silvernagel.  She was an amazing daughter to her family and an even more devoted mother to her precious daughter, Charleigh.  Amanda was a good, kindhearted, generous, wonderful, and loving woman.  She was strong willed, independent, and a hard worker.  Amanda loved camping, fishing, grilling, cooking, and enjoying the great outdoors with family and friends.

She loved hunting and collecting rocks, gardening, planting flowers, animals, and had innovative ideas and creativity.  Amanda was an exceptional interior and exterior decorator.

She was creative and loved her arts and crafts, creating beautiful boxes, paintings, poetry, and refinishing furniture.  She will be loved and missed by all who had the great fortune of having her be a part of their lives.

Amanda Jean Silvernagel, 38, of Fruitdale, SD, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at Spearfish Regional Hospital.

Amanda is survived by her beloved daughter, Charleigh Patricia Silvernagel; mother, Roseann Silvernagel and Walter Williamson; father, William “Bill" and Debra Silvernagel; she is also survived by her love and Charleigh's father, Damian Ray Palmer, son of John and Dianna Palmer; her brothers, Bob Nickels, Jamison Nickels, and Alan Silvernagel (Hali Jolley); sister, Shauna (Matt) Gilkey; nephews, Corey Silvernagel, and Joe and Tom Gilkey; uncles, Jim Silvernagel, Rick (Jolene) Silvernagel, and Robert Parsons; aunts, Linda (Benson) Baker, Judy Silvernagel, and Katherine Parsons; cousins, Julie (Scott) Neisen, Karen (Matt) Clark, Alyssa and Anthony Silvernagel, Angelina Parsons, Nathan Anderson, John Parsons, Sabrina Rottenbucher, and special cousin, Lilly Goodine; and many other relatives and special friends. 

She was preceded in death by her brother, Brandon Nickels; grandfather, William D Parsons; grandmother, Maria Parsons; grandfather, Bill Silvernagel Sr.; grandmother, Betty Silvernagel; aunt, Patricia Anderson; and cousin, Rebecca Silvernagel.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, November 18, 2019, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis, followed by a Celebration of life and potluck at 1:00 p.m. at the Knuckle in Sturgis.
