Mines opened the second half on a 4-0 run to retake a lead, but the Yellow Jackets responded with a 11-0 run of their own, started by a Desnica three, to go back up by nine. With 14:37 to play in the game, the Green and Gold led, 52-43. The Orediggers would not get closer than nine in the remaining time, as BHSU ultimately outscored top seeded CSM, 45-38 in the second half. In the end, the Yellow Jackets handed Colorado School of Mines just their fifth loss of the season, as they moved on to the RMAC Championship Game.

BHSU shot 50.0 percent from the field (30-for-60), while CSM was 44.1 percent from the floor (30-for-68).
