Box Elder structure fire held to single alarm late Friday

BOX ELDER, S.D. – Box Elder and Pennington County fire crews responded to a Friday night fire that destroyed a mobile home.

The fire call came in just before midnight.

In a release, the Pennington County Fire reported:

The Box Elder Volunteer Fire Department responded to a report of smoke visible in a residential structure at 125 West Gate Rd, Box Elder South Dakota.

First arriving Firefighters found a free burning fire with a heavy smoke condition, issuing from the single-story residential structure.

Firefighters were able to confine the fire to the structure of origin, holding the fire to a single alarm.

The structure received extensive damage.

No injuries to Firefighters, civilians or domestic animals were reported.
