Cross Country – Cutler, Birnbaum win Douglas Early Bird

BOX ELDER, S.D. – The 2020 South Dakota High School Cross Country season got underway Friday with the annual Douglas Early Bird.

Abby Cutler of Hill City and Simeon Birnbaum of Rapid City Stevens won the girls and boys races respectively.

In the girls race, Hailey Uhre of Stevens finished in second and Ramsey Karim of Custer placed third.

In the boys race, Sawyer Clarkson of Belle Fourche finished in second behind Birnbaum and Keenan Uridales of Spearfish placed third.

The highest finished Sturgis Scooper was Iris Zylstra, who fnished in sixth place in the girls race.
