Cross Country – Spearfish runners win Dave Scott Invite

HOT SPRINGS, S.D. – Kennan Urdiales and Madie Donovan, both of Spearfish, captured the boys and girls title of the Dave Scott Invitational Cross Country Meet Tuesday.

The meet was held at the Southern Hills Golf Course in Hot Springs.

Urdiales won the boys’ race in a time of 18:04.47. The Sturgis Scoopers then took the next four spots. Traeton Monahan came in second with a time of 19:05.78 and Ray Henderson captured third in a time of 19:07.37. Beck Bruch finished fourth and Morgan Papenfuss finished fifth.

In the girls’ race, Donovan finished in first with a time of 21:32.96.

Iris Zylstra of Sturgis placed second with a time of 21:52.80 and Paige Willnerd of Sturgis was third with a time of 22:07.05.
