RAPID CITY, S.D. – The owner of a Rapid City restaurant says three of their employees have tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
Benjamin Klinkel, owner of the Tally’s and Delmonico Grill, says the employees came up positive for COVID-19 last week, and precautions were taken immediately.
He says all employees are being kept informed of the situation via group communication.
Kilnkel says a protocol is in place and Delmonico Grill is currently closed until Tuesday, May 26 according to a sign on the door.
A sign on Tally’s indicated they are open for curbsite and delivery only.
Klinkel says both establishments are adhering to C.D.C. guildelines for being open. That includes having employees wear masks and monitoring their temperatures. A regular scheduled for sanitation of all contact surfaces is also in place.
He says management will provide compensation equal or greater than unemployment compensation until the payroll protection plan funds have been exhausted so employees are not pressured to be at work.
