CHEYENNE, Wyo. – The Rapid City Post 22 Stars picked up a pair of wins of Northern Colorado Thursday.
The Hardhats won game one 8-7 and hung on for a 6-5 win in game two.
In game one, Jake Goble hit a two-run homer in the top of the fourth to put Post 22 up 2-1. The Hardhats would add three runs in the fifth and sixth innings only to see the Roughneck mount a comeback, which Post 22 would stop one run shy of tying the game.
Ryan Bachman helped lead Post 22 in game one with three hits and an R.B.I. Colton Hartford and Dylan Richey each had two hits and two R.B.I.’s.
In game two, Goble got the pitching win and Ryan Bachman had a three-run double in the fifth as the Hardhats again shut down a Roughneck comeback that fell short.
Goble added three hits and an R.B.I. in game two.
