Post 22 wins first game at state tournament

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City Post 22 opened the 2020 South Dakota Class A American Legion Baseball State Tournament with a win Friday night.

The Hardhats defeated Renner Post 307 6-2.

Zach Whitesell got the pitching win for Post 22, working six innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out eight batters.

Post 22 will play Brandon Valley Saturday evening.

Brandon Valley defeated Pierre 12-2 in the first game Friday.
