Rapid City Post 320 drops two games at Casper

CASPER, Wyo. – Rapid City Post 320 dropped two games in Casper Saturday.

In game one, the Stars fell to Natrona County 8-2.

Both teams were scoreless until the third inning, when Natrona County drove in four runs to take a 4-0 lead.

The Stars answered with 1 in the top of the fifth, but Natrona County answered with another 3 in the bottom half of the inning to take a commanding 7-1 lead.

Lane Darrow helped lead the Stars with 3 hits. Gavyn Dansby added 2 R.B.I.’s.

In the second game of the day, the Stars fell to the Colorado Slammers 7-4.

The Slammers scored one run in the first and 2 in the second to take a 3-0 lead into the third inning. Post 320 would close the gap to 3-1 in the fifth, but Colorado would drive in 4 in the bottom half of the inning and take a commanding 7-1 lead.

The Stars made it interesting in the top of the sixth, driving in 3 runs to make 7-4. The Stars, however, would get no closer.

Lane Darrow had another exceptional game for Post 320 with 3 hits. Garrett Grismer added 2 hits for the Stars.

Post 320 plays the Slammers again on Sunday afternoon.
