Rapid City Stevens girls headed to state tournament

UNDATED – The eight teams are set for the South Dakota Class AA girls basketball tournament in two weeks.

Rapid City Stevens, the number two seed, punched their ticket to the tournament with a 66-46 victory over Watertown Friday night in the SoDak 16.

Top seeded Sioux Falls O’Gorman will join them as they rolled to a 7-19 win over Douglas.

Rapid City Central dropped their SoDak 16 game to Yankton 44-26 and Spearfish lost to Sioux Falls Lincoln 66-28 — leaving Stevens the lone West River representative.

The State AA Tournament is in Sioux Falls March 19-21.
