Resident at Sioux Falls elder care facility third person to die of COVID-19

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — A Sioux Falls elder care facility says that one resident has died after contracting the coronavirus.

The Prince of Peace Retirement Community, ran by Avera Health, announced earlier this week that three residents had become infected.

Avera says it believes that an asymptomatic staff member had unknowingly brought the infection into the facility.

They isolated the people who contracted the coronavirus. Three people have died in the state after contracting the virus.
