STURGIS, S.D. – The unofficial results are in for the board of directors election for the newly formed Rural Sturgis Ambulance District.
Meade County Auditor Lisa Schieffer reported Tuesday night there 286 votes cast.
The top five people receiving the most votes were Terri Jo Bruch, Mark Bruch, Britton Blair, Edward Miller and Rebecca Porter-Watson. Those five people will make up the ambulance board.
Among the board’s first decisions will be whether or not to contract with the Sturgis Ambulance District or someone else or start their own.
