St Thomas More Cavaliers cruise to victories over Sturgis

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The St Thomas More girls and boys basketball teams remained undefeated with victories over Sturgis last night.

In the girl’s game, Haleigh Timmer had 20 points as the Cavaliers kept Sturgis scoreless in the first quarter, and an 18-0 start was the difference in a 64-41 win.

Sturgis played a much more competitive second, third and fourth quarters – but the scoreless first was too much for the Scoopers to overcome.

Sarah Janz led Sturgis with 10 points.

In the boys contest, four players scored in double figures for the  Cavalier boys in a 61-43 win.

Caden Casey led all scorers with 19 points and Ryder Kirsch added 17.

Marcus Myrick led Sturgis with 16.
