Sturgis Riders JV Open Junior Legion Tournament with win

STURGIS, S.D. – The 2020 South Dakota Junior Legion Region Tournament is taking place in Sturgis.

The home team Sturgis Riders picked up an opening round win Friday.

Sturgis Riders JV defeated the RC Post 22 Bullets 14-2 in the first game of the Region 1 South Dakota “A” Tournament. They now advance to play the RC Post 22 Expos at 10:00am on Saturday morning.

In other games Friday, Pierre Post 8 JV defeats the RC Post 320 Shooters 13-3 in game two and the Rapid City Post 320 Shooters defeated the Rapid City Post 22 Bullets 11-1 and eliminate the Bullets from the tournament in game three.
