Woman pulled from Rapid Creek Sunday

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Pennington County and Rapid City authorities say a successful water rescue took place Sunday evening near Legacy Commons at Memorial Park.

Authorities report a female found herself in the rapidly rising waters of Rapid Creek. She wasn’t able to get out of the cold, fast moving water.

Officers from the Rapid City Police Department were able to work together and pull her to safety.

The woman was transported to the hospital for evaluation, but appeared to be alright.

In a twitter post, authorities say “a successful outcome with outstanding interagency cooperation.”
