ABERDEEN, S.D. – A bicyclist sustained fatal injuries when struck by a vehicle Thursday evening in Aberdeen, SD.
Preliminary crash information indicates the driver of a 2005 Ford F-150 was traveling westbound on 2nd Avenue NE near North Lincoln Street when he struck a bicyclist on the shoulder of the road.
The cyclist, a 65-year-old male from Aberdeen, died from his injuries. The driver of the Ford F-150 was charged with DUI and possession of marijuana.
The names of the persons involved have not been released pending notification of family members.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
