RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Firecracker Tournament continued on Friday with three undefeated teams remaining.
They include Rapid City Post 22 as well as Bellevue and Papillion.
By the end of the day, that number was reduced to one as both Papillion and Post 22 each suffered a loss on Friday.
The Hardhats fell to Missoula as they jumped out to an early lead and went on to beat Post 22, 11-2.
Alex Dietrich and Wilson Kieffer each drove in one run for the Hardhats.
Plus, Lee Neugebauer took the loss for Post 22.
He went three and two-thirds innings, giving up seven runs on five hits, striking out three and walking five.
Post 22 will look to bounce back on Saturday as the Hardhats play a doubleheader at the Firecracker Tournament.
Post 22 will play Pueblo at 4:30 p.m. followed by Skutt Catholic High School at 7 p.m.
