PIERRE, S.D. – In their Wednesday COVID-19 report, state health officials listed 277 new cases with 77 of them listed as probable.
For a second day in a row, no new deaths were reported, keeping the state’s death toll at 1,667.
Active cases dropped by 129 to 4,103 and the number of people hospitalized dropped by 5 to 195.
New cases across West River counties totaled 73 with 7 of them considered probable.
Pennington County had 47 new cases with 2 of them probable. Active cases in Pennington dropped below 500 today to 499.
Lawrence County reported 5 new cases with active cases falling to 80 and in Meade County, 3 new cases were reported, with active cases dropping below 100 to 97.
Other new cases across the Black Hills included 2 in Oglala Lakota and one each in Custer and Fall River counties.
