Active cases, hospitalizations increase in Tuesday COVID-19 Report

PIERRE, S.D. – COVID-19 numbers have increased in Tuesday’s report from the South Dakota Department of Health.

There were 218 new cases today, of which, 65 were considered as probable.

Active cases rose by 112, surpassing 22-hundred again, to 2,204.

The number of people hospitalized due to the virus increased by nearly a dozen to 97.

Across the Black Hills area, there were 44 new cases.

Pennington County had 17 new, confirmed cases and 7 listed as probable. Lawrence County had 2 new, confirmed cases and Meade County added 10 confirmed cases and one probable.

Butte, Fall River, and Oglala Lakota County each added 2 new cases and Custer County had one new case.
