AFBF virtual convention underway

WASHINGTON, DC – The 2021 American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) Virtual Annual Convention is underway now. Farm Bureau President Zippy Duvall says the theme, Stronger Together, highlights the importance of uniting during tough times.

“What it means is even in a difficult year, we find ways to unite and focus on the issues that we’re facing and find solutions to it. Whether it be through policy or whether it just be through working with federal departments to find an answer to that question.”

Back in October, AFBF announced its 102nd Annual Convention would be held online following the cancelation of all events through 2021.

Despite being unable to meet in person, Duvall says the convention (Jan. 10-13) boasts roughly 50 speakers presenting 20 breakout sessions. Some of their keynote speakers include Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs, Rorke Denver, a Navy Seal who will motivate and inspire listeners and Beth Ford, Land O’ Lakes President and CEO will be doing a fireside chat with Duvall about issues that American agriculture faces.

Along with the three keynote speakers, AFBF will host a virtual concert with country singers Sara Evans and Phil Vassar set to perform January 11th at 3 p.m. The event also includes a virtual showcase, taking the place of a trade show.

Free registration remains open to all attendees.   Go on line to American Farm Bureau Federation for more information on programs, sessions and speakers.
