STURGIS, S.D. – The AMA Pro Racing Circuit appears to be gearing up for its downtown race in Sturgis on the last day of the Motorcycle Rally in 2024.
Tuesday, the city released a story from the American Flat Track publication about the upcoming race, dubbed the Spirit of Sturgis T.T.
Earlier this month, the Sturgis City Council approved entering into a five-year deal with American Flat Track, although some future action will be needed to make the race official – including a contract with the American Flat Track folks.

The AMA release says The Spirit of Sturgis TT is a culmination of the collaborative effort to combine the rich heritage and tradition of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally with American Flat Track’s 70+ years of national championship racing to create a modern-day racing spectacle for fans.
The event, taking place in the vibrant heart of downtown Sturgis, will feature an innovative mix of street and dirt sections and will be free for the public to attend.
The races are scheduled to be held on August 11, the final day of the 84th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
