PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Health reported 431 new cases of COVID-19 Friday with 83 of those listed as probable.
Active cases were up by 55 to 5,837 and the number of people hospitalized due to the virus increased by 14 Friday to 187.
An additional seven new COVID-19 related deaths were reported today, sending the state’s death toll to 2,267.
New cases across the Black Hills area included 59 in Pennington County. Of those 59 new cases, 12 were listed as probable.
Lawrence County added 16 total new cases and Meade County reported 10.
Elsewhere, Butte County listed 9, Fall River County added 11, Custer County tallied 5 and Oglala Lakota County had 3 new cases.
