Andrew Lee Warren, cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, left this world on August 28, 2024, at the age of 43. Born on the first day of 1981 in Garland, Texas, he brought a spirit of adventure, kind heart and intelligent mind into the lives of all who knew him. Andrew’s journey came to an end in Rapid City, South Dakota, surrounded by the natural beauty he so deeply loved.
Andrew was a graduate of Campbell County High School. Following graduation, he channeled his talents into successful careers as Assistant Managers at Walmart and Sam’s Club and as a Senior Testing Technician at Phase Technologies, LLC in Rapid City where his analytical skills and attention to detail were highly valued.
Andrew was a man whose heart beat in unison with the great outdoors. He found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of hunting, fishing and hiking in the Black Hills of South Dakota.

Andrew was intelligent, handy and adventurous. These attributes were not only evident in his personal pursuits but also in the way he lived each day.
He is survived by a loving family who will dearly miss him: his mother, Scarlet (Doug) McKown; his brothers, Chris (Mel) Warren and Jeff Warren; his stepbrothers, Derrick (Mandy) McKown and Brandon (Doni Peters) McKown; and numerous adoring nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Andrew was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father, Kevin Wayne Warren, whose memory he held close to his heart.
Andrew’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and the indelible mark he left on the world and in the hearts of those who loved him.
We take comfort in knowing that Andrew’s spirit remains with us and inspires us to live fully, cherish our loved ones and embrace life with open hearts.
Cremation has taken place and services will be held at 2:00 PM in Madison, SD at Ellsworth Funeral Home. A gathering will take place at the funeral home prior to services from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Inurnment will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Madison.
