Angus breed rule the day Monday at the Black Hills Stock Show

RAPID CITY, S.D. – It was Angus Day at the Black Hills Stock Show Monday, and sale averages have been released from the annual sale.

Top selling Fall Bull sold for $12,250 and the top selling yearling bull sold for $8,250.

The top selling Fall Bull was VRZ Frontiersman 2146. Top selling Yearling Bull was K&J Common Ground 242.

In all, four Fall Bulls sold for an average of $7,313. The four bulls sold for a grand total of $29,250.

There were 19 Yearling Bulls that sold for an average of $5,516. The grand total was $104,800.

There were six two-year-old bulls selling for a total of $43,500. The top selling bulls sold for $9,750. The average was $7,250. Grand Champion was S&R Stability, consigned by S&R Angus.

Fifteen registered heifers also sold for an average of $5,600. The grand total was $84,000.

And, two bred heifers sold for a grand total of $21,000 – the top selling heifer fetching $14,500.

In all, 46 Angus bulls and heifers sold for a grand total of $282,550.
