Annual Track-O-Rama held in Rapid City Tuesday

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The annual Rapid City Track-o-Rama was held Tuesday at O’Harra Stadium.

Checking some of the results:

On the boys side, Jaden Guthmiller of Spearfish was a double event winner as he claimed both the 100 and 200 meter dashes.

Josh Martin of Aberdeen Central won the 3,200 meters and Rapid City’s Brad Moriarty won the 800.

Steven Mansheim of Thunder Basin won the 110 meter hurdles. Jack Merkwan of Pine Ridge captured the 300 meter hurdles.

In the relay races, Rapid City Stevens won the 4×100, Rapid City Central captured the 4 x 200 meter relay and Spearfish won the 4 x 800.

In field events, Aiden Giffin of Belle Fourche won the long jump and Connor Warren won the discus.

On the girls side, Jayden Friedly of Thunder Basin edged Rapid City Central’s Matayah Yellow Mule in the 100 meters while Jazmin Barry of Dickinson just beat out Avery Marler of Sturgis for the 200 meters. Barry also won the 400 meters and another Sturgis Scooper, Novali Dinkins, came in second.

In the 1,600 meters, Ashley Gross of Natrona County captured first with Lucy Hamer of Sturgis coming in second. In the 3,200 meters, Ally Wheeler of Natrona County captured first place with Ira Zylstra of Sturgis placing second.

Baylee Van Zee of Rapid City Stevens won the 100-meter hurdles.

In relay races, Sturgis camptured the 4 x 200 meter relay and Thunder Basin won the 4 x 800 meter relay.

In completed field events, Brynn Nelson of Stevens won the javelin throw, Dulce Carroll of Sheridan won the high jump and Emily Ash of Dickinson won the pole vault.
