RAPID CITY, S.D. – Sioux Park Stadium in Rapid City hosted the Festival of Relays Tuesday.
On the boy’s side, Rapid City Stevens had a strong showing. John Achter won the 3,200 meters and Talan Lunders captured the 110 meter and 300 meter hurdles. Stevens also won the 4×100, 4×200 and 800 meter special medley relay.
Sturgis captured the 4×800 meter relay and Rapid City Central won the 4×400.
On the girl’s side, Stevens captured the 3,200 meters, the 4×100 meter relay, the 1,600 special, the 4×200 meter relay and the 4×400 meter relay. Anna Hoffman of Stevens swept both the 100 meter and 300 meter hurdles.
Rapid City Central won the 4×800 meter relay.
Rebecca Theis of Stevens was a double event winner in the field events with a win at long jump and triple jump.
