BELLE FOURCHE, S.D. – Belle Fourche hosted the Northern Hills Invite Tuesday, featuring track and field athletes from around the area.
In boys’ results; Lead-Deadwood’s James Burke captured the 100 meters and Gavin Farlee of Timber Lake won the 200.
In the hurdles, Harding County’s Jarrett Schuchard won the 300 meters.
In the relay races, Hill City won the 4×100, Hot Springs captured the 4×200 and the 1,600 medley, and Sturgis claimed the 4×800.
Adam Stimes of Rapid City Christian won the high jump, Lead-Deadwood’s Cruz Mollman won the pole vault and Hill City’s Alexander Stoeckmann took the triple jump.
On the girls’ side, April Knight of Red Cloud won the 200 meters and Sturgis Scooper Paige Willnerd won the 800 meters. Kira Ubence of Douglas brought home first in the 3,200 meters.
Peyson O’Neill of Bennett County swept the hurdles, winning both the 100 and 300-meters.
In the relay races, Belle Fourche won the 4×100, Hill City won the 4×800 and Douglas captured the 1,600 medley.
In the shot put, Kayla Dilka won the shot put and the discus throw while Sloan Young of Belle Fourche won the javelin.
Carlie DeBoer of Hot Springs won the high jump and Custer’s Ciana Stiefel won the pole vault.
