RAPID CITY, S.D. – Area athletes competed at the annual Track-O-Rama in Rapid City Friday.
Aiden Hedderman of Sturgis won three events on the boys side. Hedderman captured the 110 meter hurdles, the 300 meter hurdles and the pole vault.
Sturgis ended the day with four stop finishes as Levi Brant won the javelin.
Rapid City Stevens won four events on the day, including Madinko Hawley winning the long jump, Elias Gillen the shop put, Grady Loos in the 1,600 meters and the Raiders won the 4×400 meter relay.
Rapid City Central boys won the 4×100 and the 4×800.
On the girls’ side, Alaina Dean of Hill City set a school record of 36-10.75 in the triple jump and Bennett County’s Reagan O’Neill won the long jump.
Spearfish won three relay races, the 4×200, 4×400 and medley relay. Spartan Anna Hoffman also captured the 100 meter hurdles.
For Sturgis, Lucy Hamer, Paige Willnerd, Novali Dinkins and Iris Zylstra captured the 4×800 meter relay.
Ella Bradeen of Stevens won the 200 meter and her teammate Caludia Werner captured the 400 meters.
